Whilst networking I have been asking if anyone is interested in portrait shots - this is for two reasons:
- I wish to boost the number of portraits I have in my portfolio
- I wish to investigate fashion photography as I have been asked to photograph a new fashion designers range of clothes.
I met the mother of this young lady this week:

I want to start working collaboratively with a make up artist I have met through networking on this project. We are planning the shoot for when she has returned from Ireland and I am back from Paris and the model is off school.

ReplyDeleteAlways a good idea to work regularly with models as it keeps your eye in as regards creative practice.
Often these leads can extend into paid portrait work, etc. Still want to see more research within your blog to show influences and creative measurement of your own images.

Plus you seem to be very active across the board which is great, but try focussing on one area and drill down until you have developed images that are really strong. You are perhaps spreading yourself too thinly.

ReplyDeleteI am confused. I am seeking work. I am networking to generate business. I do not feel I am spread too thinly. In fact the contrary is true this level is inadequate to provide a living at present.
Perhaps we need a discussion in private to sort this out.
